 Kenny Choi Kenny (Kang-Ryul) joined us from Agilent Technologies, where he was a Key Account Manager covering sequencing service providers including Macrogen. He is especially responsible for Target Enrichment kits and Microarray platform. He started as a researcher at Bioneer, local company in Korea after completing Master Degree from Kyunghee University. He has a lot of experiences from life science division like R&D Researcher, FAS (Field Application Specialist), and Business Development. When NGS was used for high-throughput sequencing for genomic analysis, he changed his role to develop new market using NGS platform and consult customers for their applications at ABI, Life Technologies, LSK and Agilent Technologies. Kenny (Kang-Ryul) brought to Illumina over 20 years of experience with genomics technologies and applications, as well deep knowledge and understanding in Korea. |
In this webinar, Kenny will talk about an overview of NGS application in Infectious disease field with comprehensive workflow include sample type dependent application such as shotgun metagenome, target enrichment and target amplification for viruses and bacteria. He also will explain how NGS is effectively utilized in this field, including the case study of COVID19.
