 Kenny Choi Kenny (Kang-Ryul) joined us from Agilent Technologies, where he was a Key Account Manager covering sequencing service providers including Macrogen. He is especially responsible for Target Enrichment kits and Microarray platform. He started as a researcher at Bioneer, local company in Korea after completing Master Degree from Kyunghee University. He has a lot of experiences from life science division like R&D Researcher, FAS (Field Application Specialist), and Business Development. When NGS was used for high-throughput sequencing for genomic analysis, he changed his role to develop new market using NGS platform and consult customers for their applications at ABI, Life Technologies, LSK and Agilent Technologies. Kenny (Kang-Ryul) brought to Illumina over 20 years of experience with genomics technologies and applications, as well deep knowledge and understanding in Korea. |
In this webinar, Kenny will talk about NGS application for food safety. Through this webinar he will explain the differences between traditional method and NGS applications and why we should adopt NGS platform for food safety. Especially WGS can identify the bacterial genomes of pathogens, increasing the accuracy of microbial testing so it can be used as a valuable tool in investigating outbreaks and tracing the cause back to the source.
