Illumina’s mission is to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome. Genomic technologies are creating new opportunities to extend the lives of patients diagnosed with cancer. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) enables a variety of applications. Current clinical applications include hereditary cancer risk screening, molecular diagnosis, disease monitoring and guiding optimal treatment selection. As the understanding of the molecular complexity of cancers has evolved it has become clear that every cancer is unique at the molecular level. Decades of research into the genetics and molecular biology of cancer are painting an increasingly detailed picture of the molecular basis of the disease. The exciting prospect for cancer patients is that some of these mutations are associated with molecularly targeted therapies, giving patients more treatment options than they have ever had before.

The opportunity to transform tumor profiling with innovative assays that enable comprehensive genomic profiling, new companion diagnostic development, and liquid biopsy inspires us to push boundaries and drive innovation. Recent advances in genomic technologies have enabled pan cancer cfDNA applications that allow screening to identify early stage cancers, when treatments have a higher probability of success.

We invite you to join us for an in-person meeting and networking session with thought leaders who will share their experience on the clinical utility of genomics in precision oncology. Please RSVP as space is limited. We hope this meeting will raise awareness of possible applications of clinical genomics in cancer care, and foster discussion and collaborations to advance precision oncology. This event provides a unique opportunity to network with the leaders in precision oncology.
