Sign up and receive 100 llumina BioInsight Credits (BIC) at no cost with no purchase order or commitment required. Use any product on the platform during your trial period. When your trial credits are used or expire, you can continue seamlessly on pay-as-you-go.
No. The pay-as-you-go option has no minimum, you're invoiced monthly only for what you use. When you're ready to commit, you can choose a savings plan that meets your needs. Discount percentages increase based on length-of-commit and amount-of-commit.
If you convert to an active account, all your trial data carries forward and nothing is lost. If you don't convert, we’ll securely clean up your data, and you will not be charged.

BioInsight Credits are the single currency for all Illumina software on the Illumina BioInsight Platform. 1 BIC = $1 USD. BioInsight Platform products are priced in BIC, so you can track all your software spending in one place.
Yes. You can buy BIC at face value ($1/BIC) with a 5-year expiration with no term commitment required. Pre-purchased BIC work like a prepaid account: usage is deducted monthly, and you receive a statement showing what you used. If you also have a savings plan discount, your pre-purchased BIC are consumed at your discounted rates.

Usage and billing
You're never cut off. Usage above your monthly allotment is billed at your same discounted rate on the same invoice. Your savings plan discount applies to every BIC you consume whether it's within or beyond your allotment.
Unused BIC do not carry forward. On a monthly savings plan, each month's allotment is deposited on the first of the month and expires at the end of the month. Pre-purchased BIC (upfront savings plan or standard pre-purchase) remain available until the end of their term.
No. You're never blocked. On pay-as-you-go plans, you're invoiced monthly for what you use and there is no balance to deplete. On a savings plan, usage above your allotment is billed at your same discounted rate. Any overage of pre-purchased BIC is invoiced at end of month. Your analyses always complete.
Usage Explorer lets you view consumption by project, workgroup, user, and product. Export full usage reports for any timeframe. Domain admins see everything; project leads see only their scope. Use these reports for internal chargebacks.

No. All capabilities are available with your free platform subscription on a pay-per-use basis. There are no annual renewals, your subscription is ongoing, unless you choose to terminate it. You pay only for what you use.
