The Infinium HTS iSelect Methyl Custom BeadChip is offered in a 24-sample format with updated Infinium automation protocols and an automated workflow for bisulfite conversion. These features improve workflow efficiency, decrease sample processing costs, and allow users to scale their operations up to hundreds of thousands of samples per year.
Customize arrays with up to 100K additional markers to create unique research tools. Select content from existing commercial arrays or epigenetic databases.
The Infinium BeadChip design enables a high degree of methylation probe replication, resulting in high reproducibility, comparable to 100× coverage in methylation sequencing experiments.1

DesignStudio Custom Assay Design Tool
DesignStudio is a web-based assay design tool to help researchers design and order custom microarray probes or custom sequencing assays.
Illumina methylation BeadChips employ both Infinium I and Infinium II assays, enhancing the overall breadth of coverage. (A) Infinium I probe designs use 2 bead types per CpG locus, 1 each for the methylated and unmethylated states. (B) Infinium II probe designs use 1 bead type for both states.
Researchers work with Illumina technical design and customer service teams to refine the BeadChip marker content and coordinate the ordering and production process.

For methylation QC, GenomeStudio 2011, Methylation Module, or DRAGEN Array Methyl QC can be used for human species.
For downstream methylation analysis or analysis of non-human species, SeSAMe (https://www.bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/html/sesame.html) or other third party bioconductor tools are recommended at this time.
The Zymo Research EZ-96 Methylation-Lightning MagPrep Kit in manual and automated formats is supported for use upstream to Infinium Methylation assays. Review results in this technical note for more details.
