Overview

The Infinium XT iSelect-96 Kit provides a high-throughput genotyping solution that enables large-scale screening applications on any species with user-defined content. Applications such as large-scale genetic improvement programs in agrigenomics or large-scale screening for biobanks and personalized medicine initiatives can benefit from the accuracy and robustness of the Infinium XT solution.

Streamlined sample preparation and data analysis

The fully automated, highly efficient Infinium XT workflow streamlines genotyping sample preparation and analysis. Updates to the Illumina Automation Control (IAC) software and integration of LIMS increases sample processing efficiency while enhancements to GenomeStudio and Beeline Software offer real-time data generation and on-demand QC report functionality.

GenomeStudio Software is the Illumina visualization and analysis program for microarray-based genotyping data. Important updates to the software increase the speed of genotype cluster generation, reducing overall analysis turnaround time. 

 

Beeline Software is the Illumina microarray data analysis tool for prefiltering and reporting data from high-throughput processing. This makes it ideal for any large-scale Infinium genotyping project.

DesignStudio Software includes a custom genotyping microarray probe designer whereby custom content can be developed and ordered through a guided, easy-to-use interface with a guarantee of at least a 95% custom content conversion rate.

Infinium XT iSelect-96 Kit can be processed with current Infinium automation (ie Tecan robots, LIMS, and assay accessory hardware). Optimizations to the IAC software for the Tecan liquid handling robot increase efficiency and save time with pre-PCR liquid transfer steps while updates to the LIMS software support the entire process. Some accessory hardware updates will be required to support the new format and reduce hands-on time. 

The Infinium XT iSelect-96 Kit solution is designed and optimized to support customers looking to scale their Infinium labs using an automated workflow. Customers must batch 96 samples to process one BeadChip and at least 1152 samples per run to optimize the reagent usage. Labs that process < 50K samples per year may extend the end-user turnaround time and may not justify the capital expenses from procuring automation.
